Shooting Columbia MO – Juvenile in Critical Condition After East Columbia Shooting

A juvenile is in critical condition after being shot Tuesday evening in east Columbia, Missouri, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Police responded at approximately 5:16 p.m. to the 5700 block of Canaveral Drive following a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was listed in critical condition.

Police also located a juvenile suspect near the area and detained the individual.
