Motorcycle Accident Rapid City – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Crashing on US-131
A 35-year-old man was seriously injured early Wednesday after a motorcycle crash on southbound US-131 near the 54th Street exit, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers were called to the area shortly before 2 a.m. after receiving a report of a crash. When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist in the grass on the opposite side of a guardrail.
Motorcyclist Found After US-131 Crash
The injured man, described by police as a 35-year-old Wyoming-area resident, was located after apparently leaving the roadway and going over the guardrail.
Emergency crews provided assistance at the scene before the motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Michigan State Police said his injuries were life-threatening.
Authorities also reported that the man was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
